home sit. : merried,
1 daughter.
job :
filed service-engineer with the biggest Central Heating Co. of Europe.
how did it start :
my dad use to have a beacon on his work-van
witch he always turned on when he left to go to work. I was a baby back
then and saw him leave as I was held in front of the window by my mom.
As I grew up I asked my dad several times to get me one of those lights
and when he did one day, the collection started.
Slowly the collection
grew with one beacon at the time.
Years later I was
watching the news on t.v (chanel 5 in the county) where I saw,to my big
surprice, that I wasn't the only one with this rare hobby. Quickly after
the broadcast I came in contact with Edwin and we are searching for more
lights together eversince.
name : Edwin
Colijn
born :
yes in 1973
home sit. : living
together, 1 son.
job:
use to be car mechanic but now working as truckdriver at the newspaper
how did it start :
as a kid I watched a lot of t.v and looked
at a lot of police series/movies. I always thougt it was a waist to crash
so many police cars. It would be great to have one of those cars for myself
one day......
Many years later I
bought a Chevrolet Impala and bild my own CHP cruiser.
This toke me over
2 years.I had to have a nice lightbar to put on it so I started the search.
This wasn't easy but I got one and when you have one, you want more.
Since then I concetrated
more and more on the collecting of beacons en bars.
When my girl and I
moved into our new home I had to decorate the garden so I toke an old Impala,
witch was supose to go to the car-graveyard,painted it black&white
and cut the front end off. Then dug a hole in the garden and pushed
the car in.(like the Cadilac project in a dessert in the U.S.A)next I finished
the garden with some grass and put a lightbar on top of the car.Now it
just looks like the car drove into my garden by pushing the breaks to late(just
like in the movies).
A reporter of the
regional paper wrote an artikle about my garden and this resulted in a
apperance on the national t.v. news(RTL5).
This was seen by Patrick
and we came in contact.
